As an independent researcher, writer and analyst, I have 20 years of experience with Federal, State, Territory and Local Council Elections. Since 2003, I have been involved with voluntarily assisting party Candidates and Independents as a Campaign Worker or Coordinator with election documentation, research, marketing and writing or reviewing Candidate profile statements.
In 2011, I ran as the only ungrouped female Independent Candidate amongst over 80 Candidates in the Wollongong City Council Local Election; whilst also helping in the campaign for another Independent Candidate from a different local ward; who later became an elected Councillor.
In April 2019, through prayer and guidance, I embarked on a huge project for the 2019 Federal Election that had never before been attempted in the history of Australian elections. I was warned by a friend (with experience in analysis of political party policies): “This is deep water stuff”. In a collaborative effort with a number of people and organisations involved in analysing party policies, values and preferential voting, we helped to develop guidelines for a discretionary rating order of parties (House of Representatives and Senate), according to those that best supported family-friendly values and ‘life’.
Then I named the 2019 Federal Election rating guideline documents, under the brand heading of “VOTE WISELY”. 8 documents were developed for each of the 6 States and 2 Territories and then released via a Zoom meeting, the night before Polling Day, 18th May, 2019 Federal Election.
Since 2019, I have produced voting resource documents (colour-coded for simplicity), with researched information and links, to help prepare voters throughout the states, territories and federally, at election time. These voting guidelines (resources) have been published for the Northern Territory, ACT and QLD Elections in 2020, the WA and TAS State Elections in 2021, the SA State Election, Federal Election and VIC State Election in 2022, NSW State Election in 2023 and TAS State Election and Northern Territory Election in 2024.
For the VIC State Election in Nov. 2022, I worked voluntarily in a collaborative arrangement for a new website called "Electoral Integrity" with 'How to Votes' in both the Upper and Lower Houses. I also provided a suggested rating guide at the district seat of Mulgrave (Daniel Andrews MP Labor seat, ex-Premier) and listed margins and key seats for the 88 districts in Victoria (colour-coded).
For the SA State Election in March 2022, my ‘VOTE WISELY’ 8-page resource document, gave advice and Candidate rating guides for the Legislative Assembly (Lower House - Green Ballot Paper) and the Legislative Council (Upper House - White Ballot Paper). The information was for discerning SA ‘Electors’, based on family values, freedoms and life. ‘YOUR VOTE. YOUR CHOICE.’. Email comments (quotes) received after producing the 2022 SA Election ‘VOTE WISELY’ information (13th & 14th March, 2022), are as follows:
